Capital Concrete Deliver For New Community Skatepark
The new Stonards Hill Skatepark in Epping is a new community space commissioned by Epping Town Council and funded by The National Lottery and council-owned property developer, Qualis. Capital Concrete previously supplied concrete for the Stockwell Skatepark in South London and were delighted to be asked to supply coloured concrete for the construction of the new park in Epping.
The new skatepark has a mini ramp and exciting features such as a rollover and volcano, alongside a compact street section with rails, ledges, and smooth flat ground. Local skaters and visitors have welcomed the new addition to Stonards Hill Recreation Ground, and in the first week of opening skaters of all ages took to the ramps to try out the new facilities.
The skatepark was designed and built by Betongpark, one of Europe’s leading skatepark specialists.
"Skateparks are important, free to use facilities for people of all ages to come together and stay active. Betongpark are proud to have worked alongside the local council, skating community and Capital Concrete to design and build this new skatepark." Commented Stuart Maclure, Development Manager at Betongpark.
Kevin Paterson, Commercial Director at Capital Concrete, commented: "We have a long-standing relationship with Betongpark - having previously worked together on Stockwell Skatepark - it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with their team on an important community project such as this.”
