1st Choice Concrete Supports Local Cricket Club With Donated Concrete

Brett has a long history of supporting local community events and projects - most recently, 1st Choice Concrete, our small load concrete business, supported a local community club just outside of Colchester, Essex with material to upgrade their facilities.

Kelvedon & Feering Cricket Club has served residents of Kelvedon, Feering, and the surrounding areas for over 17 years. In addition to an active summer cricket programme for everyone from Under-11s to Senior teams, throughout the winter the club lends its changing facilities to a local rugby club, provides space for community events, and hosts a range of private functions.

The donated concrete has created a solid foundation for a new 40-foot storage container, giving the club space to store soil, seed, fertiliser and tools used to maintain the grounds, while also allowing the area where the old container stood to be used for improved parking during winter months.

Ellie Davis, 1st Choice Concrete’s Field Sales Manager, commented: “As a mini-mix business, our more compact trucks make it easier for us to access smaller sites and support local projects just like this one. It’s been a pleasure working with Simon Gibbs, Director at the club, to organise and deliver the concrete from our nearby Colchester plant for their new storage unit.”
